The day started off sadly, because we had to drop Nanna off at Cork airport. It was mixed feelings as were so happy she had made it over to Ireland with us but sad that she was leaving us.
Next, we were on our way north-east to Tipperary (the village of Ahenny) to see Niamh, Roisin, Lisa & Harshi - our friends of many years, from Bangkok.
When we arrived, I was very excited to see Niamh, Roisin and the cousins. The house we arrived at belongs to Niamh's and Roisin's grandparents, and was in the middle of the countryside. We were made to feel very welcome. We went straight on our bikes. We used chalk to draw roads around the farmhouse and created all sorts of signs and extra details. We did 100's of laps of the house.
The views from the house are gorgeous and the cows on the hillside looked like ants!
Three of the cousins were there too (Ava, Peter & Sophie) and we went on a walk through the woods with them, we found a secret passage which was very steep and thorny.
Dinner was delicious-we demolished a lovely bar-b-q dinner made by all the adults.
After that, we walked across the road to the churchyard, where the famous Ahenny High Cross is (dating back to the 5th century!) where we took part in Mass where we remembered our loved ones.
It has been an amazing day.
Thank you!
